WHAT IS Employee Provident Fund?

The Employee Provident Fund is a scheme for Indian workers governed by the Provident Fund, 1952 and other provisions of the Act.

The Employee Provident Fund is regulated under the umbrella of the Employees Provident Fund Organization, commonly known as EPFO.

All establishments employing 20 or more employees are eligible to apply for PF registration in India.

In some cases, establishments with fewer than 20 employees are still eligible for her PF registration depending on the circumstances and exemptions.

Employees receive an amount that includes personal and employer contributions with interest when they retire or retire.

WHAT IS ESIC REGISTRATION?

The Employees National Insurance Corporation or ESIC is an Indian social insurance organization that provides cash and medical benefits to workers in the institutional sector of India.

An employer or company is required by law to register a company under her ESIC within 15 days of the effective date.

ESIC registration is the process of identifying and registering each employer and its employees in the system.

Any company with 10 or more employees and monthly income not exceeding Rs 15,000 is required to register with ESIC under the ESI Act, 1948.

As of today, all other states and Union Territories of India except Manipur, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram are required to comply with the ESI Act 1948.

As of March 31, 2013, approximately 6.66,000 employers are registered with ESIC, extending ESIC benefit protection to more than 1.65 million workers.
